So I was VERY upset at the concert last night to read in a free gazette, well actually i tried reading, and a fellow intern translated for me. THAT LADY GAGA TICKETS WERE SOLD OUT! WHAT?!?!?!?!?!!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well today I went on kijiji.at AND SECURED A TICKET! I will get it sunday.

I am a DIE HARD Lady Gaga fan! I love her! SHE KNOWS WHATSUP! Even before she was famous i think I would still love her. Her style circa 2007 pre-music videos/mtv/pop icon phenomena was rad – definately an act  I would go to. Basically I wish i could have seen her when she was still just a local act in a club. She reminds me of the electro scene in Ottawa/Montreal. Examples:

She is not only about the music, but she is POP CULTURE. I don’t see her as a musician, but more of a performance ARTIST! She may come off bubbly and eccentric. But she makes so many clever references to pop culture history. Gaga can pull of the funk, but can also pull off a sick acoustic act with her own twist. She plays a mean PIANO! Her stuff with just her the piano and the microphone is awesome. When you see her perform you can truly feel that she believes in the art she is trying to portray.

She demonstrates her creativity through many styles and acts…She has SO MUCH CHARACTER! Her performances aren’t about anything or have any “deep” meaning except for the fact that she takes many aspects of pop culture and exaggerates them. She will take a theme and play with it. Like poets make play on words, lady Gaga makes a play on pop culture and conveys this so well through her self promotion, performances, visuals, imagery, and videos combined.

She is my ring tone too. Yes yes this sounds crazy, but I genuinely think she is very unique but also fits into the pop scene very well at the same time.

People who think she is JUST POP – Her creations are the next Andy Warhol. I think she is the most eccentric & clever artist out there.
