I DID IT! I completed the 13 day crazy diet! It was definitely a test of discipline, but its over! I lost on average ten pounds…so now am 2 lbs away from being what i was when i moved here. Now I can moved to phase 2 which is achieving my goal weight, this will be done by a) going to gym and b) balanced diet…the normal way.

The first week was tough, and the second week was easier. The hardest was afternoons from 3-5, and night time from 8:30-10. The rest of the time it was pretty good.

The results: I lost weight, I am less hungry, and I get full on smaller proportions.

My thoughts: Copenhagen is great to kick start your metabolism, it definitely works but requires GREAT determination.

What I thought would be the hardest day turned out ok. With only yogart & orange juice for lunch i thought I would surely die of hunger. Lunch was unappetizing. I was only really hungry for an hour in the afternoon and again right before dinner.Whenever I feel like breaking “the rules” I remind myself that its only 13 days, and I do another google search on the diet and read up on people’s reactions, which are positive on the most part.

Today for dinner, was the weirdest combination, i had cottage cheese, a shredded carrot, and a boiled egg. yuck!  These combos BETTER be doing something for the metobolism after i’m done – in the meantime the scale is being quite friendly. I look forward to tomorrow, i get fish for lunch, and steak for dinner! Excellent….enough to eat to have energy to go out to JET LAG “the event for the international community”

13 days includes NO DRINKING! Hurrah! for going clubbing sober tomorrow This will be a first. Water water water!

Last night I dreamt of a cookie, a chocolate chip cookie. I then continued to eat peanut butter from the jar…mmmmm peanut butter. It tasted so real…BUT NO WHAT ABOUT MY GOAL? I woke up confused thinking i blew it all. but alas, it was only a dream.

feeling hungry and weak. at the moment my stomach is grumbling….i think i will have my serving of “fresh fruit” then retire to bed.

After my vacation to Croatia, and many hours spent with my loving yet dysfunctional parents. I realized that maybe I have a short fuse….and for some reason this made me make a choice I had been debating for a few months now. I decided to take the plunge, and finally do the diet I have been thinking about  for a long time: COPENHAGEN.

So this is the introduction to what I call: “CARAVISION’s 13 Days of ENDURANCE TESTING.”

My mind is set, and for many people who know me. I am STUBBORN! I choose to write about it so I may send people to my page whenever I get: “What ? Your not drinking tonight, why?”  ”Just have one of these cookies, i brought them in for a special occasion” and I answer, “No sorry I’m on day XX of my 13 day cleanse/diet/Copenhagen/whatever i call it at the time.” and they go “WHAT?! but you don’t need to, your going to yo yo bla bla bla!!”

I know how to eat right and exercise, I’ve done it before. So this is why I will maintain whatever results may be. These days will be 13 proud days in which i will test my endurance, sanity, and discipline. For once and for all I’m going to put a stop to the growing consequences I have endured the last 6 months indulging in the new Euro-life to the max! No, I do not regret my indulgences – this is what it means to live!  I will just use more moderation in the future when balancing big gourmet meals out vs. big nights out.

All I ask is for everyone’s positive support! I am very dedicated to making it to day 13!!

 I am very excited to reach my goal, and feel that once I make it to day 13, I will feel like I can achieve ANYTHING! I believe this is a great way to practice “mind over matter” and see how disciplined I can be. So stay posted…. I will be updating my blog with a day to day synopsis of how it goes….uncut, uncensored and raw baby!

My parents went out of town on Monday & Tuesday, so naturally I decided to throw a little soiree! What a fun time! This entailed most of the my favourite people in Vienna, lots of food & cooking, alcoholic beverages, and lots of chatter!

we found this baton in the elevator...

Ahhh yess the baton, it was GOING to be the next orange phone. It was sooo weird that I found one because Luis (fellow intern) is always saying how we should have a baton as the next mascot. The baton was used as a beacon to start speeches that night. I think this picture depicts round 2 of speeches…teee heee Apparently I think its cool to make a speech/toast amongst friends. It’s become one of my fav things to do….It was a great night though! I want to throw more dinner parties in the future
